Common Question and Answers
Ans. We will accept almost any type of vehicle provided you are the owner of the vehicle. We accept motorcycles, cars, trucks, boats, ATVs, and most other motor operated vehicles.
Ans. Not a problem, we accept vehicles in all conditions. An important note is that the vehicle must have some value to it. Most vehicles do, even if they are being sold for their parts. Once you give us a call, we will discuss with you the options you have, if you feel that there is not much value in your donation
Ans. We would like to have the title to the vehicle, but if you cannot find it we do have duplicate forms which we can assist you with. Please give us a call Toll Free at (800) 922-7243 and we will explain what options you have.
Ans. Depending on the vehicle you donate, we will come up with the best option for receiving the maximum for your donation. We are fortunate to be provided with a sales lot which merges an online bidding site. Our sales extend to buyers all over the country. The sales lot is visited by hundreds of buyers comprised of individuals, families, dealers, and recyclers. This is one of the major advantages MyCarHelps has over any other channel. Our results speak for themselves and you will receive the maximum value for your donation. You are also welcome to visit the lot yourself at anytime.
Ans. Once your vehicle sells, all the proceeds will be sent directly to the charity of your choice, in your name. We will then receive a receipt and thank you letter from the charity, which will be given directly to you. This will be your record of your donation for tax purposes.
Ans. We will make arrangements to pick up your vehicle within 24 hours. If there is a certain time you would like us to pick up your car, you can make a note of this through the online request or directly with one of our operators.
Ans. Yes! You can select whichever charity you wish, including your local church, synagogue, or other institution. We have provided a partial list for you and you can select from a much larger list which is provided by the IRS on their website under publication 78
